the reception phoned us on the New Year's Day to check when we were expected, as they were short staff due to the holiday and wanted to make sure someone would take care of us. the woman who manned the reception was extremely helpful and improved my wife and I from a room with two double beds to a king room (we chose double beds because of the price and short stay). the room was very comfortable and had all the small... What D doesn't like about The 101 Grill:
We came in asking for a table and they said the only tables they had were outside. We tried sitting outside but it was such a hot day that we couldn't handle it. We came inside and there wasn't anybody eating in the restaurant yet they said they were full. We asked to order takeout and ended up waiting in the restaurant at a table for half an hour while they made our meals. I don't understand why they wouldn't let us... View all feedback.
Great view from the sundeck. Ordered the beer battered shrimp and cocktails. Very chilled atmosphere
We enjoyed our stay here. It 's a beautiful historic building on the waterfront and has been well maintained. We booked a king room and were assigned a room in an older part of the building. The hallways were so narrow that certain luggage stayed in the car. The king bed took up most of the room, but was very comfortable. The A/C unit in our room was quite old and no longer functioned properly, making for a very warm sleep. Not ideal during hot summer weather but we managed to sleep anyway. We knew that 'historic ' rooms also mean small. Thankfully the rooms had been recently updated and had been tastefully decorated with beautiful first Nations art work, reflective of the new ownership. If it 's high end luxury you seek, stay elsewhere. This is a low key and comfortable way to experience Lund and I wouldn 't hesitate to recommend it. Just make sure you request a room with a balcony.
It is located in a beautiful place and the staff are very warm and friendly. Yet the room was so hot despite the night temperature being quite cold, even with the windows fully opened and vent operating all night long to bring in some cool air. I 'm not sure why this is the case but the room temperature made it difficult to enjoy the stay. Room is very small for families to use. More importantly, the facilities does not have even a single crib or any provisions for infant-toddlers. I would not recommend any families with very young children to book this location. Also, lacking pool access seems to make the name Resort a bit misleading. I think I would have loved it if I came here only with my wife.
They need to do something about the homeless population that sits under the gazebo and drinks. They spend the whole day there so nobody else can appreciate the gazebo, they swear and cause a ruckus while there are kids and families around, and management doesn't do anything about them. They crush and dispose of their beer cans in the ocean and let their feral dogs walk freely and don't stop them if they attack another dog. It's a very trashy setting and the owner needs to put a stop to it.

Anyway, we ordered the fish n chips and they were so greasy and disgusting that none of us ate much and we were left feeling disgusting after. They also forgot to give us coleslaw to go with. Would not recommend!
