Yamato
Description
A neighborhood Asian restaurant presents dishes attractively and maintains a clean, casual dining room in a strip-mall with ample parking. Lunch combos impressed on some visits and certain items were enjoyable.
Quality and service are inconsistent: entrees have arrived overcooked, oily, or cold, and sushi can be unavailable at peak times. Staffing appears limited, producing slow or brusque service in places, and prices trend high for traditional Chinese fare. Worth trying—especially for sushi if available—but expect variability.

Food has great presentation, and maybe the sushi is good (sole purpose of going there), but they didn't have sushi available at 6pm. Of the food that we receive the food looked good, but was the flavor was adequate for the price we paid.Soon, we will have to go back to the restaurant and try the sushi to update the review. We are truly hoping that the sushi is good because we don't know of any other local restaurants in thr area with sushi.
I ordered the steak and shrimp hibachi, and it was disappointing. It lacked flavor and was quite bland. I definitely wouldn't say it was worth the price.
As an out of town guest, after reading the reviews we decided to give this place a try. But our food very cold and our server was extremely rude, when we asked for a manager because the waiter didn’t understand a question we had her responded with “why? What’s the problem?” And refused to go to the back to get him.
We had really good food and service. Sweet tea was great. Plenty of menu options available.
Lunch on a Sunday. Ordered from the lunch menu, came with a egg roll, crab ragoon, fried rice and sweet sour chicken. Added a Philadelphia roll. All very good.Highly recommend based on this visit.Restaurant was clean. (Tables, floors, walls).Parking: Large parking lot. Strip mall setting. Several stores and restaurants share the area including a Kroger grocery.
