Thai Ladle - Poway
Thai Ladle
Description
This Thai restaurant offers a mix of experiences, with many praising its authentic flavors, standout dishes like herbal panang curry, Pad Thai, and tom yum soup, as well as quick, friendly service and reasonable prices. Fans appreciate the flavorful curries and fresh ingredients, making it a top local choice for takeout. However, inconsistency in preparation—such as overpowering spices, mushy noodles, and unexpected ingredient substitutions—has led to disappointment for some, especially those with dietary restrictions. While the casual, grab-and-go concept suits busy diners, potential patrons should be mindful of variable quality and customer service before ordering.

The Tom Yum and Tom Kha were both good. However the side of sticky rice was tiny for $4. Would not get again.
The tom yum soup was delightful, and the Thai fried rice had a nice moist texture, although it was a bit lacking in flavor. The chicken had a slight sweetness to it, and the Pad See Ew was also on the sweet side. It appeared that the noodles might have been stir-fried for too long, as they were broken into pieces.
This restaurant serves the best Thai iced tea in San Diego, without a doubt—it's amazing with half and half. The gyoza (potstickers) and veggie egg rolls were also great, especially when dipped in the peanut sauce. I highly recommend this spot!
