The waiting times were quite large and their limpets were a little gum-like. I liked her wine selection and the fact that she provided us the opportunity to pick up some fofas from her bakery the next morning, although the restaurant would not be open yet and they had to run out this day.
Finding this perfect little hidden gem amidst a sea of tourists was worth every step up the gigantic hill it took to get here. This was an experience I will never forget and I am almost hesitant to share it with others to risk giving away such a lovely and serene hidden oasis! Thank you for a magical evening! After our visit of Grahams we stopped by here as this is a much smaller port house known for drier port wines. The bar is a wonderful garden bar with amazing view, great service and cannot be missed. You can do tastings for port wine and table wine (which I actually liked better than the port but I am not a port fan... and order food. But dont tell anyone about this hidden gem...
What a find! We had been looking for a bar in Vila Nova de Gaia with a relaxed, modern vibe with a view of the city. Churchill’s 1982 bar is just that. Nicely hidden away off the tourist track of the waterfront, this garden bar is a beautiful place to spend the afternoon and try some delicious port or cocktails.
