Da Praia - Póvoa de Varzim

Perfect location. Stopped by for a quick lunch. Waiter was hilarious and very cheeky! We all enjoyed the burger cooked to perfection. Wasn’t the best burger of my life but definitely satisfying.

Popped in here for a quick snack lunch and was pleasantly surprised. Was greeted by a smart young man who quickly took my small order and within a minute my drink was with me. The food followed very shortly afterwards and was very reasonably priced.

This is in an ideal spot next to the beach and has a bar quick food outlet and a sea food restaurant which looks ideal BUT Slow inefficient service from order to service 35 minutes. Waiter unable to extract wine cork!!. Cold dishes served eventually after calling waiter Crab dish served with no claw crackers finger bowl or extra towel . Not really a fish restaurant

We ate there since it was so good. Had lobster and seafood rice, served by a multilingual waiter. All very fresh, we chose our lobster and settled on a larger one.. Location perfect overlooking the beach and ocean.. We could reserve a table. Service was a bit slow but worth the wait. Nice skewers with seafood and/or meat. good ice cream desserts and some house ones.

While here for a week for a family wedding 11 of us went for dinner.. from the outset I got the distinct impression that they did not want a table with so many people as it is much harder work,,, I know this as I have owned a restaurant and have cheffed .. anyway. Beware if you order the same dish as another in your group cos the two will come out on the same plate and they expect you to share.. Four of us ordered steaks and all four came in the same pan and all over cooked, prawns over over cooked. It was a shame to kill them and then do that to them. Good point was the setting. Beautiful But the stars of this should have been the food but sorry to say dire is the only word that springs to mind
