It was packed, on a Thursday night and my wait time was way less than a chain restaurant and the food was 100 times better. It's clear that the chrfs and waitstaff take pride in what they do and serve. I live 2 1/2 hours away and would gladly make another day trip to eat here.

We started of with an... read more This is the second time I've been to Tavern 23 and the friendly hello from Zoe behind the bar made my wife and I feel welcome right away. We started of with an order of Buffalo Wings, of which were prepared to perfection. Our meals consisted of a perfectly cooked Bacon Cheddar Barbecue Burger and the Fisherman's Platter. It was nice to run into Jenn while we were there as well. Above all, you will really enjoy the relaxed atmosphere and their outdoor dining. Try this hidden gem in the city of Poughkeepsie !!

They did not disappoint from the amazing drinks, hospitality, beautiful patio and the amazing food! Definitely recommend! If we’re ever back in the area we will definitely be coming back!

Zoey was very attentive and a lot of fun, making sure our drinks were full and the table was cleared as we continuouslyordered more food as the night progressed. Eclectic mix of music where I liked all of the songs, and there was something foreveryone. Bar got busy as the Saturday night progressed but it was still manageable and not packed so as to make it difficult tonavigate or unpleasant. This was my first time, but I'll definitely be back.
