The only coffee shop on lower Main and thank God it's there because I need you in my life. Cute little spot, quality coffee sandwiches and wraps.
Stellar place. The taste, consistency, presentation all 10's across the board for this place. Excellent coffee that's roasted in house and tastes better than any name brand. It's rare you find a place that does both excellent coffee and eats keep the Poughkeepsie Grind at the top of that list!
After discovering The Poughkeepsie Grind on Yelp, we made a special effort to visit and we are so happy we did! The staff was surprisingly friendly and the coffee was excellent. However, the highlight of our visit was the Chicken and Waffles. The waffles were light and just the right amount of sweet with a hint of malt. The chicken was cooked perfectly - crispy, juicy, and bursting with flavor. Even though I usually don't like spicy food, the chicken had a subtle kick that enhanced the overall flavor. Make sure you don't miss out on this dish!
The food at this restaurant is fantastic and very reasonably priced. Its proximity to the train station and outdoor seating on the sidewalk make it a perfect spot for breakfast or a quick coffee break.
