Panera Bread - Poughkeepsie
Panera Bread
Description
The Panera Bread location on Route 9 in Poughkeepsie has received mixed feedback, reflecting a struggle between familiar comfort and recent disappointments. While many patrons appreciate the warm atmosphere and quality offerings—like the Baja bowl and Caprese melt—concerns about service efficiency and food safety have surfaced. Instances of improper order fulfillment and dismissive management responses have tarnished experiences for some diners. Additionally, rising prices coupled with diminishing portion sizes have disheartened long-time customers. Despite these challenges, some guests commend the friendly staff and fresh food, highlighting the need for improved consistency and attention to customer concerns.

Myself and our friends have been very fond of the place. We have been going to Panera for 20 years at least once or twice a week. Someone gradually over the pst 2-3 yrs it’s quality has gone down and they are charging more. Coffee has been frequentlycold, bagels are smaller and not good. They are not able to make any improvements, seems like their top administration areunaware or ignoring. I have found lots of other people have similar feelings.

I was very disappointed with their response, so I approached him and another manager to discuss my concerns. Unfortunately, they still didn't take me seriously. This disregard for customer service is unacceptable. If the manager had just offered an apology from the beginning, I might have been able to move past the incident. However, the neglect of health standards is genuinely alarming. I urge all customers to carefully check your food!
I recently visited this restaurant to try the "pick two" option. During my last visit, I paid an extra $6.99 for a half signature sandwich. However, this time, my bill came to $14.60 for a small soup and half a Frentagon chicken sandwich, which had very little chicken and a lot of onions. Additionally, I had to wait over 20 minutes for my to-go order, despite there being only one other customer in the restaurant. While I do enjoy the soup and sandwiches, nearly $15 for what I received seems excessive. It's also quite frustrating to wait that long for an order when the place was nearly empty.
