This is truly my favorite Chinese restaurant, and by far the best in Poughkeepsie! The meat is always cooked perfectly—never tough or chewy—and there’s never any strange taste like you might find at other places with inconsistent food. They are always reliable and deliver exactly what you order. The interior is well-maintained, creating a pleasant atmosphere without any uncomfortable vibes. It’s family-friendly and h... We just ordered food from this place. The total came to $40, and I paid the delivery fee and tipped the driver, only to receive no silverware at all. The driver actually seemed like he wouldn't hand over the food without the tip. View all feedback.
I wish I could figure out how to post the pic sent me ribs that look like someone took a bit out of it. The food is hit or miss. So disappointed every time I Order for them I remember I said I wouldn’t order from the again.
I live near the foot. great service. the woman cash handling makes a great task to ensure that they understand all possible charges to her order and is clear how much it will be. communication can be a bit difficult, but nothing a little patient and understanding can not fix. I ordered the delivery for my first order and the man was very polite and fast. the low mine is not fat, orange huh is well cooked. it can be a little pricy, but they also give quite large portions (in my opinion [as someone who worked for panda express, these are huge portions] . I have tried nothing else but what I have tried is extraordinary. I have no reason to give them less than 5.
I wanted to try a new Chinese restaurant and decided to give king chef a chance. I'm so glad I did it! eating was the best Chinese food I had in poughkeepsie. highly recommended!
My fiancé I wanted to try a different restaurant since Main Moon was closed. We usually get Main Moon because I only eat their sliced, jerky-like boneless ribs. Not to mention, their food is on point. So from King Chef, I ordered Hunan shrimp special combo (which has the next to it indicating that it 's a spicy dish. I even googled Hunan style to get a better idea and it 's described as a bit more than spicy (which is what I wanted . My fiancé ordered the CHK with garlic sauce, which also has a next to it. Although the prices were good... NEITHER dish was spicy in the slightest bit and honestly lacked flavor all-together. I also added a large wonton soup but after I 'd already paid with my card. Therefore, I had to use my card again but since the wonton soup was less than $5, I was charged a 75c fee (even though I just spent over $25 all together and just used my card . I will say large wonton soup was full of wontons but... The food lacked flavor all together and the spicy food really needs to be spicier BUT the fact that the small dining area of the restaurant seems to haven 't have had ANY upgrades since opening (about 40 YEARS and now is a storage area which blocks the large picture windows tells you how much care is put into the food. Again... The front of the restaurant is completely taken up with store products (even on a dining booth table and Main st. has such high foot traffic (potential indoor dining customers . Indoor dining isn 't even an option... But should be. SMH
The food is okay, but definitely doesn't match the high prices
