On February 2, 2022, I tried the house fried rice, and it was absolutely wonderful. I can't wait to try something new on my next visit. The service was quick, and the flavors were outstanding!
I am a huge fan of Ginger Chinese Restaurant! Their dishes remind me of the authentic Chinese takeout I used to get from the outer boroughs of NYC, like Brooklyn and the Bronx—always bursting with flavor and immensely satisfying. Ginger never disappoints. From their amazing spring rolls (served with hot oil on the side) to the tasty moo shu vegetables, everything is fantastic. The staff is friendly, and if I could, I would hire their chefs to cook for me personally without a second thought. Don’t forget to finish your meal with their delightful almond cookies; they have the perfect crunch and just the right amount of sweetness.
Ginger Chinese Takeout, situated on Route 9 just north of the Spackenkill Road exit, has been a beloved local spot for about 15 years. It’s my go-to place when I don’t feel like cooking and crave a warm plate of my favorite dish—something I wouldn’t usually make at home. I typically order chicken and broccoli, but lately, I’ve been adding extra broccoli and mixed vegetables, and it’s always fantastic. Their spare ribs are also quite tasty, and I sometimes treat myself to their extra crispy fried dumplings. Additionally, their wonton soup is among the best I’ve ever tasted. A few years ago, the restaurant changed ownership, and the new management has truly committed to improving the overall experience. Longtime customers will definitely appreciate the upgrades. They’ve even added a beautiful exotic fish tank, which provides a pleasant distraction while you wait for your food instead of scrolling through your phone. I had an amazing dinner last night, and I can’t wait to go back!
The food is consistently excellent, and the delivery from your website is always prompt.
I like their food in general. We usually order fried rice, mei fun, general tso chicken, chicken/shrimp with mixed veggies, eggplant in brown sauce, chow me in etc. I like that they can customize almost all their food, I usually request light on oil and sauce and the food still tastes quite good. With another restaurant, when I mentioned that, the food was bland. Also the people are very nice and every time there was any slight mistake, they took quick action and fixed it. I wish they had Chinese greens (choy sum) in their menu, but other than that they have become our go to Chinese restaurant locally.
