We got a seat quickly which was great. The service was ok but not great or adaptive, the waiter left a few times without finishing an order. I had the steak, medium rare, and the inside of the steak was great, the outside tasted charred though, as did the sauce. The Beech is a well-known spot in Poughkeepsie and has been a local favorite for years. Their extensive menu features fantastic daily specials that never disappoint. The owner is a friendly and humorous person, which adds to the welcoming atmosphere. They also craft excellent drinks and consistently have something new on tap to try.
My favorite spot in Poughkeepsie! The menu is smaller, but they offer new special appetizers and a curated selection every day, along with an extensive variety of craft beers. Everything here is consistently excellent. Some of my top picks include the mozzarella crostini, hanger steak, cheeseburger with aged cheddar on an English muffin, baby spinach salad with goat cheese, and the orange BBQ chicken sandwich. Plus, you can't beat the quality 20-ounce craft beers for just $6.50!
Wow, that's all I can say! I had a burger topped with mozzarella cheese on an English muffin, along with fries and a small Caesar salad. The Caesar salad was fantastic, and the red cabbage served with the burger and fries was excellent. And the burger itself? Absolutely to die for!
The fried calamari is fantastic! The brie and garlic appetizer is amazing! The hanger steak is a must-try for anyone looking for a great steak dinner! The specials are phenomenal and truly unique! Absolutely outstanding!
