Hometown Pub with owners employees share a lot of love with their napkins. Not from the area and looking for a taste of Corned beef at St Patrick's Day, Co-workers suggested there would be a good chance to find it here as they are on a great beauty of a Roastbeed sandwich daily... their signature meal, roast beef centered in the distance from the bar that warms under red heat lamp... a certain tombber. What User doesn't like about Ye Old Coventry Pub:
We stayed on our way home from the shore and were looking forward to a Roast Beef sandwich. We came in and a girl gave us menus. Then we sat there for 20 minutes with everyone ignored us. Another couple came in and after waiting, they rose and went. We left and decided that the end was for this place. Even if you are busy, you should recognize your customers and the fact that they are waiting for service. View all feedback.

Service was very slow, this is not a charge for our waitress when she was the only one for the whole restaurant. The food left much to be desired in view of the prices they ask.
The shrimps and frits were very good. Service was also good.
My friend and I met halfway so we decided to go to the Coventry Pub. The first and last time. I ordered the crab cake and they left the crabs in the kitchen. My friend had the Cuban sandwich and she didn't like it either. Our waitress was fine, but the place needs something to do. If you stick with the roast beef, pork or ham. They are known for that.
I grew up in the kitchen as my Grandmother use to work there when the old owners still owned it,Steve and Marcella. Even as an adult I spent alot of time at the pub. We had friends coming into town and I decided to try the pub again since I have not been there in a couple years but the food use to be great. A basket of cheese fries with barely any cheese was 10.99 and it was a small basket. Also my fries tasted like shrimp to the point where it was gross. We only had appetizers the pretzels were literally super pretzels. The coconut shrimp was the only appetizer we had that was good. We had some drinks and my slow gin and coke was mostly ice. Service was also horrible waitress brought my friend 2 beers, why would u bring someone 2 beers at once? I didnt feel like complaining over appetizers and service so we paid our bill and left.We won't be going back again and it is unfortunate.
