What User doesn't like about Piccolo Mondo Italian:
Service staff is not well trained, lack of knowledge of specials items, ingredients, and price of each. Third time visiting the restaurant, each time is a little different with service consistency. Food has been consistently good. Ambiance not consistent, with 50's music being played in a Italian/Mediterranean on one visit. View all feedback.
Overall very nice. Quality of food was wonderful. Not giving 5 stars overall due to the prices. I feel adding a meatball (even though later I come to find out it was 6oz) for $8.00 was a bit steep. Should have asked the cost upfront. I would suggest adding a small soup or dinner salad with the entrees to make it more for the money. Other than that it is a great addition to the Coventry mall area. Much better than the typical chain restaurants and is a BYOB which makes it appealing.
The food, service were excellent. Can’t ask for more then that. Our second time here.
The tomato stack was super delicious. I had the veal Parmesan and it was so good. Two of the others had one of the specials and the fourth person had their shrimp. Everything was really really good! I highly recommend it!
