As a vegan, I was particularly impressed by the banana blossom chips that closely resembled fish. The allotment appetizer was also a hit, featuring delicious hummus, falafel, and fresh vegetables. Overall, a great dining experience with a mix of traditional and contemporary offerings. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about The Old Manor:
Lovely restaurant, friendly service. Pork belly was tasty besides the crackling not being crispy, burger good, fish lacked flavour. Toffee pudding lovely with brandy ice cream, panna cotta not the best. Overall down to earth food. Would go back to try something different. View all feedback.
This is a gorgeous place to dine! I visited with a group for a family event and it was fantastic. The food was delicious, the staff was very friendly, and I was impressed by the charm of the building itself. I also loved the spacious and attractive outdoor seating area. I will definitely be returning! - photo of their panna cotta
Family members who went to enjoy a Sunday roast with extended family were very disappointed on Sunday, wasn’t able to allocate the family group in the restaurant because we had a baby in a small pram, so we accepted this and went to the bar to have a meal. We waited an hour and half for our food. we did ask for the table to be cleaned numerous of times and when the gentleman came over to clean the table there was a piece of lemon from the previous customers drink which he proceeded to chuck over his shoulder onto the floor which was not picked up, Hygiene went straight out the window and that was an accident waiting to happen, The staff just didn’t seem to care once we did receive their meals, items of food were missing, no stuffing , when asked about the stuffing The waitress pointed to a small cocktail sausage and said that’s it, The vegetarian meal didn’t have any of the vegetables it was supposed to have, The burger was supposed to have bacon with it that was missing, The vegetarian gravy look like it was just a stock cube with hot water, The chicken was very dry, The waitress said be prepared for half a chicken to be slapped on your plate, i’m glad there was no feathers, overall very disappointed previous experiences have been very good it’s a family restaurant and we had family members that have travelled quite a way to enjoy a meal and have a good experience, come on the Manor you really let us down this time.
Disappointing. Over priced with very small portions. Each one of our meals had something missing from the menu. Went there in January and the meals were better then they are now. Not worth the money they are charging. There was also a shortage of staff as the people on the next table had to forgo their meal as after sitting waiting and chasing for so long it was time to leave as they were going to the theatre

Last week we visited ex-teachers, all went to rest, so we had a very pleasant, relaxed lunch. service was excellent, very friendly and attentive. we all enjoyed our meal, I had the fish and chips that was a good size and very tasty with many crisp chips mushy heaped. have eaten here several times, before and always very happy with eating and total experience. worth a visit!
