The expectations were not too high, thanks to the earlier reviews. The service was quite Franconian in style, despite being handed by a non-Franconian. But I guess one needs to adjust to the surroundings. The menu sports typical local dishes, as well as some Bohemian ones, too. Unfortunately, the selection of tap beer is limited to a not-very-local bigger brewery and one Bohemian beer. The food was ok, but small adjustments would make it good. All in all, given the prices, this is an option to consider in the town. On an absolute scale, there is some room for improvement.

Das hörten wir am Piepen der Mikro. Das Sauerkraut schmeckte ranzig und der Kloß klebrig. Der Lachs war sehr trocken und der Salat matschig und einfach. Alles in allem sehr lieblos.

The coffee was perhaps an hommag... read more First the good news: They offer rooms. The bad news is everything else. Breakfast is 10€ per person and it is mediocre at best. The coffee was perhaps an hommage to the imitation coffees of German WWI soldiers. Little to no vegetarian or vegan options. Not worth it. The rooms were OK, very old bathroom and not as clean as I would like. You can definitely hear your neighbours and the street in your rooms and no mosquito nets either. No AC either so prepare to get sweaty in the summer. Staff was not friendly or warm but not offensive either. Payment is either in Cash or ONLY with EC which is a great inconvenience.
