I had the haddock which... read more This was a very good German restaurant along the main strip in Potsdam. Good bar and beer selection and good variety of food available. I had the haddock which was amazing. Good atmosphere in here as well and enjoyed good service.

Lt. Aushang war er bis 22 Uhr geöffnet (Küche bis 21.30 Uhr). Es waren noch einige Tische besetzt.Um ca. 21.10 Uhr tauchte ein Kellner auf und fragte „Wollt ihr noch etwas trinken?“ (es hörte sich eher so an wie „Wollt ihr etwa noch etwas trinken?“ Als wir bejahten nahm er wenig begeistert die Bestellung auf. Als wir gegen 21.40 Uhr noch ein Getränk ordern wollten, wurde mitgeteilt, dass sie nun schließen und wir bekamen die Rechnung!!Das geht gar nicht!! Die Kellner sollten evtl. mal nach Köln, München oder Hamburg gehen und lernen, was Kundenservice bedeutet. Dieses Lokal werden wir nie mehr betreten – eigentlich wollten wir mal in den nächsten Tagen die Speisen testen, aber so eine Servicewüste werden wir nicht mehr aufsuchen. Zum Glück fanden wir dann zwei Straßen weiter noch ein tolles Lokal, in dem wir sehr freundlich und gut bedient wurden und unsere Meinung über die Gastronomie in Potsdam wieder etwas verbesserte.

Nice surroundings but the food was only average and there were many typical dishes that did not appear on the menu. The service was good, but then there were only 3 other tables occupied. Nice enough but not a place to make a detour for.

Das Ambiente ist rustikal und urig. Die Karte bietet Saison Spezialitäten, jedoch ist die Qualität Mittel, dafür wird aber ein hoher Preis verlangt. read more Das Ambiente ist rustikal und urig. We walked in to the old town (which is worth wandering around) from the north and its one of the first places you pass. It's a classic German place decorated like a cellar, but it feels cosy and welcoming. The beer was local and good. The food was the normal mixture of pig and potato that satisfies any appetite. Service was friendly and efficient.
