We had a very pleasant lunch here, sitting inside on a showery day. A nice ambiance with classical music background. Menu only in German, and I got the impression that staff were not particularly orientated towards non German speaking customers, which may explain some comments about unwelcoming service. With my limited German I found the service perfectly OK.Food was good, and I thought good value considering the loc... View all feedback.

We saw also a number of other guests having the same problem. We didn't looked after the prices while ordering - which was a big mistake. We had one big bottle of water, an ice coffee, an apple juice spritzer 0.4l (schorle) and a cappuccino and payed 18,05 Euro!!! And the average quality didn't justify this amount of money.Totally overpriced - go elsewhere, you'll find a lot of more friendly locations with more reasonable priced.Only pro for this place: a quite nice view.
I visited Potsdam in October. On a beautiful autumn morning we went to the terrace to have breakfast. Although there were only a few tables occupied lasted 1 hour up to receive the order. Then when I asked for extra bread, it lasted more than 30 minutes until I got a bagel. It is a shame that the staff has such behavior, because the place is very nice!
One of the first cafe from Sanssouci Park to city center is Babette near Brandenburger Tor. Only this can be the reason of your choice after long walk especially in rainy day. The place is not bad, but average with nothing special. Nevertheless, a number of locals inside can mean that it is not bad place.
We came here for breakfast, had to wait 1.5 hours for one of the standard offers in the menu. I asked for bread and had to wait an extra 20 minutes for one single bun. I repeatedly asked for explanations and I was told that this is not a fast food and they don't serve take away food. I got my breakfast at noon, and I was absolutely cold by the time I received the bun. I didn't eat it, the staff acted like they didn't care about some unhappy customers. There are several restaurants next to this one and they have way better service.
