We went on a recommendation. I was somewhat out off by the interior old style trattoria, in the sense of bow tied waiters, brown furnishings and a loud tv screen. However, the menu looked interesting, with a selection of Lucanian specialties, and the mention of freshly picked mushrooms. We had a mixed antipasto and freshly sliced mushrooms with grana. I came back here after 2years and the owner Don vito and his staff were excellent as in my memories. Let yourself be treated by them...they will recommend only the best if you want to try the local dishes. It is one of the oldest restaurants of Potenza, I strongly recommend if your target is local food, to learn traditions, to learn aglianico wine history, right place if you are willing on quality . Prices are right enough considering the quality! Go and enjoy.

Un posto che ricorda i ristoranti di vecchia data, gestito da un vero signore di altri tempi. Una piacevole gentilezza. Molte foto di attori sulle pareti perché (se ho capito) c'era/un cinema in passato. Cibo nella media. Anche il conto, nel centro della città. Grazie.
Si mangia bene e si paga poco grazie al grande proprietario Don Vito.
This is an opportunity to actually experience old school regional cooking Don Vito is an icon in the area and before that icon vanishes go there and experience it he will arrange your meal to suit your taste it is very nice to deal with Don Vito directly but if you dont have basic italian there is a waitress to translate
