Just Had a delivery- it clearly states with meal deal 3- Ackee and saltfish- with 2 fried dumplings. No dumplings. I called up to ask- they said no dumplings with that . The salt fish is old and microwaved. Dry. No sauces. Very poor! No flavour. Really bad and really expensive when this was my treat. So disappointing. Appalling service. My friend Kate brought me to this restaurant to celebrate her husband Art's birthday. She loved the food so much that she recommended it to me right away. Last week, while visiting Portsmouth, I decided to try out this restaurant as it came highly praised. I was not disappointed. The warm welcome we received was exceptional, as if we were greeting old friends. We opted for a takeaway on this occasion and found the portion sizes to be generous. Every dish was flavorful and delicious, especially the Curry Goat, Rice and Peas, plantain, and Jerk Chicken. Even my children couldn't get enough of the food, they were licking their plates clean. Thank you for a wonderful experience. We will definitely be returning for a sit-down meal next time.

I celebrated my birthday at this restaurant with a group of 7 people. The goat curry was absolutely delicious. The service was friendly and had a warm, family-like atmosphere. I will definitely be returning to this restaurant.

Food is so authentic and there’s just nothing like it ! Not in Portsmouth, not anywhere!! So glad we have found this place, will 100% be coming back. Treated so well by all staff and the food I could eat everyday and not get bored !! You definitely need to try if you haven’t already. Don’t even get me started on the dumplings, the patties !! I have never really enjoyed coleslaw but the small island one is to die for !!

I booked via the Facebook page and said it was my husband's birthday. We had a very warm welcome and were given a table with flags and a Happy Birthday banner on the wall above! Art had Oxtail and Butter Bean Stew and I had Curry Goat, both with rice and peas, and we had a ginger beer each. (They are not licenced but you can bring your own alcohol if you like. It was all delicious and we were made to feel at home. When we'd finished our meals, Lucille appeared bearing a piece of carrot cake with a candle in it, singing Happy Birthday To You! What a delightful evening. We would highly recommend this place and will definitely be going again.
