I had a delicious roast at this restaurant! The roast potatoes were crispy and perfect, the meat was lovely. I was pleasantly surprised by how tasty it was. My only complaints were that there could have been more food and the restaurant could have been warmer as I was very cold. View all feedback.
What Inger M doesn't like about Port House:
We went for Sunday lunch at this restaurant and found the staff to be very helpful and welcoming. However, the food was just average. The meat was served on top of the vegetables with everything already on your plate, including the gravy, which could be a drawback for some. The Yorkshire pudding was huge but a bit tough, and the roast potatoes were slightly undercooked. The standout dish was the crumble, which was de... View all feedback.

Took my parents for a last Sunday roast dinner out before lockdown and it was really delicious. We all enjoyed every mouthful and everything was beautifully cooked. Fantastic Roast potato’s and giant Yorkshire pudding! Service was excellent and great value. Only disappointment is that we can’t come back next weekend! but we will look forward to returning as soon as reopen.

My spouse and I went to this restaurant for breakfast this morning. We ordered an egg bacon sandwich, three croissants, a tea, hot chocolate, and an orange juice. The total came to £17.40. The drinks were served promptly, but we waited nearly 30 minutes for the sandwich and croissants. When the sandwich finally arrived, it was toasted for some reason. I assured the server that I would still eat it. It took another 16 minutes for the croissants to be served. Although we requested two of them to be warmed up, only one was brought out initially, with the other one taking an additional 10 minutes. When my husband asked the server about the delay, she responded rudely, claiming she wanted all the food to come out at once. She then complained about only having one pair of hands and slammed the plate down on our table before walking away. The staff's attitude and slow service, as well as the incorrect order, were very disappointing. Politeness from the staff goes a long way. We will be heeding the advice of the locals to avoid this place in the future. Lesson learned.
Four staff down, timing all wrong for the brides first dance, food very basic and in small portions. Gatecrasher, no bar staff for long periods and an hour late due to food delay for the expensive live band to start. Very poor customer service.
