Mayfair Chinese - Portsmouth

Due to Spinnaker Tower problem, we decided to go to Mayfair for my wife's 60th. Very, very impressed. Kung Po Chicken, Hot Green Pepper with Dry Bean Curd, Mixed Veg Noodles and Hand Made Dumplings were all to die for. The whole menu looked great and the BBQ seemed to be going down well with the local ethnic community and students too. Many many thanks.

Very Poor Quality food. We ordered a takeaway and it was not great and we didn’t eat it at home. BBQ Ribs were very fatty and chewy, salt and pepper chicken dry and boring, chicken fried rice also dry and rubbery. Restaurant itself looked dirty and miserable so I should have taken my first instinct and left…. Would never go here again so recommend you order and eat somewhere else

Ordered food from Mayfair on Saturday 19/11 for delivery Waited an hour and 10 mins paid driver £23 What they delivered was the worst food I have ever seen in my life Crispy duck was a container full of white fat completely inedible( had to delete photo as was making me sick) Chilli beef and prawn toast cold and greasy Phoned to complain but got nothing had been working all day so just didn’t have the energy to take further. Please avoid this place at all costs. I would never write a review like this but really never had anything like this from anywhere before *AVOID AT ALL COSTS*

I stumbled upon this restaurant on a Monday evening while staying in Old Portsmouth. It truly is a haven for food enthusiasts. The Chinese cuisine served here is authentic and delicious, with dishes that I had never tried before. Thankfully, the young Chinese waiter who took our order was able to make recommendations and guide us through the menu. The food was outstanding, making it one of the best dining experiences I have ever had. To fully appreciate this restaurant, I recommend familiarizing yourself with authentic Chinese dishes and their traditional serving styles. This is only the third review I have ever written, and this restaurant truly deserves all the praise I can give.

Ordered a takeaway at 19.30 told it would be 20 minutes. Took 1 hour 15 .. they kept saying sorry we are busy . But that’s not good enough . I’d avoid until they get more professional
