Kingfishers - Portsmouth

We visited this restaurant today for the first time and ordered fish and chips with curry sauce and mushy peas. Our meal was made fresh to order and everything was excellent. We will definitely be returning to eat here again. The customer service was fantastic.

This restaurant used to be excellent, but it has unfortunately declined in quality. Today, I ordered a large battered sausage and chips. The sausage tasted old, the batter was stale and flavorless, and even the chips were dry and stale. I had to wait 3 minutes for my order, and for £5.40, it was not a satisfying experience.

In the past, Kingfishers Fish n Chip Shop on Albert Road in Southsea was a popular spot to grab a meal. However, on our recent visit, we found that the chips were decent but quite small in portion size. The jumbo battered sausage was disappointing, lacking in flavor and appearing undercooked. The fish also did not meet our expectations, with more batter than actual fish. It's possible it was just an off day, so we may consider giving it another chance in the future.

Delicious Fish and Chips! Piping hot chips and really light, fluffy and fresh batter on the tasty cod. My hubby had the pie and said it was great too. And…..it was delivered to my door! Thanks guys!

Best fish and chip in Portsmouth (maybe the best I had in the UK). The fish is perfectly cooked and chips are fresh and homemade. The service is also welcoming and warm
