What Dylan Simpson doesn't like about Britannia Fish And Chips:
Only interested in closing. Wouldn’t cook what I requested. Out of alternative request. Forced to pick from what was cooked. Chips were soggy. Sausages in batter were hard where left to long on side. Attitude of staff awful. Will never use again View all feedback. What James A likes about Britannia Fish And Chips:
I have never enjoyed such treat from a fish and chip shop and it happened in Portsmouth! The owners were very kind to accept my order 2 minutes before they closed, as I was thirsty for some saveloy and battered sausages. Crispy batter is absolutely gorgeous! View all feedback.

read moreLocated near iconic landmarks, this fish and chip shop offers a range of experiences that vary considerably. While some patrons rave about the fresh, juicy fish and generous portions of well-cooked chips, others have reported unfortunate misorders, cold meals, and unhelpful staff. The ambiance is pleasant for dining in, with friendly service enhancing the experience. However, inconsistent food quality and pricing issues have left some customers disappointed. Overall, while many enjoy the classic offering, others urge caution when ordering, encouraging potential diners to consider the mixed reviews before visiting.

The fish batter was soggy and the owner was very rude. I cannot believe how he spoke to people. I do not recommend eating there.
