Contribute FeedbackMombo in Portsmouth is a warm and welcoming restaurant with exceptional service and delicious food. Despite the pricing being on the higher side and some issues with portion sizes and noise level, overall, the experience was described as worth it. The menu offers a great variety of dishes, the wine list is enjoyable, and the staff is friendly and attentive. The chef's tasting menu was a hit, with generous portions and impressive presentation. Mombo is highly recommended for a special evening out in Portsmouth, offering a fabulous experience that will leave you wanting to return and bring friends along.
Wonderful food! They have a great variety of differnt foods that you wont find anywhere else on NH The only complaint is the high number of tourists year round ruining the atmosphere. This is a very nice restaurant and to have loud, rude, underdressed tourists is a disappointment.
Duck Confit- YUM!. I have been twice. My husnad and I went during Portsmouth Dine Around and it was the best restaurant we ate at all week. We went months later for my birthday and sat at the bar and watched them cook. The duck Confit was delicious as always! Love this place!
FABULOUS!!. This restaurant is a treat in every way. The decor and renovation wow! The staff friendly and attentive. The food DELISH! We tried the chef's tasting menu and were not only impressed with the yumminess and presentations the portions for a tasting menu were more than generous. We are pretty sure it's our new favorite restaurant in Portsmouth! Can't wait to go back!
I've finally arrived at the end of the NH-ME September vacation posts. The final post is our last night of vacation, back in Portsmouth, NH after driving from Bar Harbor, ME. We ate at Mombo. It's near Prescott Park Strawberry Banke. It was a chilly, drizzly evening so I was happy to be seated near the fireplace even if there wasn't actually a fire. When it gets colder, they do build fires, but I guess it was a little early for roaring fires.
Dynamite. Beautiful space. A great variety of well executed well presented dishes with a nice wine list to boot. The service was friendly, efficient and knowledgable. The noise level is somewhere between lively and loud. It's not cheap, but it's worth it.
