Shrimp Shack - Portsmouth

I want to extend a BIG THANK YOU to the management and staff at Skrimp Shack in Portsmouth! I have a serious allergy to all types of fish, but I can eat shellfish like shrimp and crab. However, whenever my family and I go out to seafood restaurants, I usually can't eat anything because everything is cooked in the same oil! But last night, I was thrilled to be able to enjoy fried shrimp and fries. The manager even changed the oil specifically so I could enjoy a seafood meal with my family! Once again, a huge shout-out from Richmond, VA to Portsmouth, VA... THANK YOU! You truly made my evening! The staff was fantastic, the food was delicious, and there was plenty of it for the price!

After navigating the long line, you'll find that the food is absolutely fantastic. You have the option to either dine in or take it to go. The atmosphere is quite casual—nothing extravagant. They serve real crabmeat with no fillers, which is a huge plus. While it may be a bit pricey, it's definitely worth both the wait and your money. Don't miss out on trying the grilled options!

Wow, this food is amazing! I completely agree with my friend; the only downside is that I should have come with a bigger appetite. I highly recommend this restaurant!

Truly enjoyed this place celebrating with my daughter on her graduation from NSU. The food was absolutely delicious with a plenty on your plate at a reasonable price. And they had real scallops(my favorite). The hospitality and service was exceptional. The atmosphere was warm and loving. Going back is not a question. I shall return.
