Back for a second visit with our friends because the first was so good. homemade pasta dishes are delicious, plentiful and comfortable. the Butternuss Quark ravioliis on special were delicious! the pork and the mushroom pasta dish with a distinctive cream sauce was another special very enjoyed. a friend enjoyed the grilled salmon that looks fresh and tasty. our server was very friendly and helpful. look forward to another meal
We had a girl last night for dinner and eating was all delicious. I had added the special butternut quash ravioli, one had the shin matt, one of the beet salad with garnels and a mixed green salate with shun. all the entrees were so good and we had not been in a place for dessert. our waitress was also very friendly.
Portola kitchen is underoccupied. No one has greeted us five minutes. after that sitting, no waiter approached us until I got one too foot. a first course was delayed and arrived with a deer. otherwise it was great to eat. hopefully this is temporary until they pay enough to keep the personal. we like this place very much.
Service was very, very slow and poor. Asked about dish and was misinformed by waitress. Then when dish arrived, the eggs tasted like fish. They must have not cleaned the gril. Overall terrible experience.
We were a party of eight and all agreed that the food and service were excellent. We ate inside and the noise level was modest enough for normal conversation. Well done PK!
