Tuesday 15 juni and we visited this cliff-snack bar with views of the village Fajã da quebrada nowa. it is located next to teleferico achadas da cruz (cablecar) on the northwest side of the island. we ordered 2 cappuccinos €2.50 and then sat outside on veranda, with a gecko/lizard for business. we enjoy the spectacular view of the dramatic coast while we drink our coffee. What User doesn't like about Calhau Snack:
I paid almost 30 euro for a plate of herbal suppe a thunfisch steak and a (probably) hard fish steak. the suppe looked like dish water and was tasteless, the only sweet in it were some thin sliced acid leaves that also had the only substance in the suppe that had tasted at all. the thunfischsteak was on average. my wife makes tuna steak better, although she doesn't like tuna herself and she's not a cook. the heavy fi... Rustic snack bar with a great view and located right next to the cable car. Don't expect too much here. The food is ok. However, I would recommend sitting outside as it doesn't smell good inside.

Lugar realmente especial, vista incrível, funcionários muito simpáticos e prestativos, eu absolutamente recomendo. Eu ficaria feliz em voltar.
Café saboroso e bolo também. Na segunda vez pegamos nata, mas estavam muito gordurosas.
Um local muito agradável, com uma bela vista, comida saborosa e atendimento agradável. Acesso para não atletas por teleférico para amantes de subidas e descidas, bela caminhada desde o morro oposto.
