Bútio - Porto Moniz

Place worth to visit for perfect diner:D very talented cook! : First vege diner during holiday in Madeira.

We had 1.5 hours in Porto Moniz and spent most of it waiting for a club sandwich. They cannot cope when there is a group in, and as tours seem to have an arrangement with them that is quite common. And then the fries were undercooked because they were apparently in a rush.

Due to bad weather we decided to stay at the hotel and try the food as we have eaten out every night. What a shame we didn't do this sooner the food was delicious all freshly cooked no frozen or reheated rubbish. The service was very commendable our server Theresa was very attentive and pleasant. Don't think we will bother eating elsewhere again when this place is right down stairs

We stayed in the hotel and enjoyed dinner there a few times. The food is different from what it offered elsewhere in Porto Moniz and very good. People are very nice. One remark though: they serve starter and main course immediately after each other, which for me is too quick. So the advice is to tell them to wait a bit.

Staying in Porto Moniz in March, the town wasn 't very lively! Most restaurants had few customers, it wasn 't warm enough to sit outside to eat so we ate in the hotel. We normally do not eat in as we like to experience life outside, but we were not disappointed with the excellent choice, which included some interesting local dishes. Unusually we ate here the second night as well.
