I stumbled over this tiny empty restaurant when we went back to the apartment, looking for a takeaway option. So I asked the old dame to see the menu (like all the tourist do) and she started listing the specificities of the day and, as I don't speak Portuguese, she literally showed me the facts. even if they did not take along after they explained that we were stuck at home because our baby was sick, they improvised a takeaway service and cooked, before us, some bacalhau (cod) the way any Portuguese grandmother would do. we asked for 4 portions, but the amount of prepared foods could easily feed six. but that's not it. When I arrived, I asked (in some ways) where I could buy something in the afterbarity, because I needed eggs for the baby, and she gave us the only one she had. we asked for a glass porto wein and a dose tee to fill the time while they cooked and she gave us. when we left, she asked if we needed fruit, and she gave us a few bananas. then we asked for some water to dinner and she gave us two bottles. we paid 30 euro. for the huge tuperware filled with bacalhau. it did not take a cent for the porto, for the tee, for the ei or for the water. the next customers were a small group of Italians who also found the restaurant randomly. it was the third day in a row they had eaten there. will I recommend? you already know the answer. obrigado por tudo(!
