eating was not very good at all. we chose this restaurant because it had good reviews, but the pasta dishes we ordered, we read best. no parmesan offered or freshly ground black pepper etc. the Carbonara sauce was like a ground cream without taste. will not come back or recommend. Pomodoro Rosso is absolutely the best hidden gem restaurant in Porto. It is small and elegant but very reasonably priced. It is totally family run, the chef (who we met and was really sweet) and her nephew Raul do it all essentially by themselves. The menu is extensive (mostly Portuguese and Italian options), Raul gave us great recommendations and told us tons about the history of the dishes and the wines. The food is all locally sourced and (most importantly) super, super tasty. If you don't go while in Porto you're seriously missing out.

Ambiente acolhedor e sossegado. Bem localizado. Comida agradável e preços acessíveis. O empregado foi muito atencioso e prestável. A comida é bastante caseira. Comemos arroz de polvo e bife à casa, duas sopas e pão e broa de oferta. Com o desconto do the fork ficou 21€ para duas pessoas.
