We found Cibo literally next door but one to where we were staying... read more The weather had been really hot. Our legs were exhausted. So we looked at nearby restaurants. We found Cibo literally next door but one to where we were staying. How lucky we were. The service was utterly amazing. We learned so much about the food and the wine as well as the history of the Minho village where the lady chef comes from. We had a slow paced meal of small plates with a well chosen wine to go with each.shared plate. We had little tartlets, then lovely cod in breadcrumbs, amazing gizzards in meaty sauce with bread then a meaty moneybag of flavour. We shared an orange pudding with almond brittle. It is a culinary and social educational experience like being invited to a locals house for dinner. Try it we doubt you will be disappointed. We met the male co-owner who was charming. The stars of the show were 3 fold, the lovingly cooked superb food, the wonderful wines of the region and the fabulous maitre d and waiter. An experience to remember forever. Thank you.
