travel through the city and ask for poutine hit. this food car has not disappointed for this demand. not sure what vegan cheese was used, but hotter dang it was delicious. we also have the PBJ riders. the flavor combination was spicy and sweet, but please note that the Satay sauce was very rich. I don't think I could eat it alone, but the amount I could eat was very happy. updated by previous review on 2021-11-04 View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Potato Champion Food Truck:
After reading about Potato Champion in Lonely Planet, we decided to stop by since we love Poutine. The parking situation was not great. Unfortunately, we were disappointed with the Poutines as the curds were not melted at all and the gravy was overly sweet, unlike any Poutines we have tried in Canada and the Upper Midwest. We would not recommend this place. View all feedback.
Small selection of potato dishes that cover the full gauntlet of what you would expect from a place that specializes in only potatoes. Lots of sauce selection to go along with fries and one of the only places in Portland where you can get poutine! Worth a try if stopping by cartopia.
Poutine was definitely subpar. Anyone who is rating this above 3 stars probably hasn't had good poutine before. Wish I had tried one of the other stalls. I shouldv listened to the previois 2 star reviews before me, unfortunately I didn't check them beforehand. I ended up throwing half of the meal away it was so disappointing.Food: 2/5
Went there yesterday a young man and woman were working. I ordered the regular poutine and when I opened it up the fries were green. I asked them if it was normal for them to serve green fries. They stated that the potatoes were over ripe... I used to be a produce manager and we would throw the green potatoes away because they are bitter and produce a toxin. Potatoes don 't ripen. They are harvested to eat. They replaced my order with more green fries after telling me they were over ripe and oxidized . I was also a prep for cut fruits and veggies. Potatoes turn grey when oxidized not green... very disappointed with my experience, had to throw it away and I hate wasting my food.
This is inside Cartopia food pods. Do try their Palak paneer fries. It's absolute delight
PALAK PANEER is one of my favorite Indian dishes so naturally I had to order the PALAK PANEER FRIES. Good amount for $11, the sauce was tasty with a bit of a kick and large chunks of paneer. My brother ordered the CHILLI VERDE special and the POUTINE and both were crowd pleasers. A fun little spot.
