Pizza Creature - Portland

Pizza Creature is definitely the top spot for vegan pizza in St. John's. They offer a menu where everything can be made vegan, with two different vegan cheese options: tofu cashew mozzarella and almond ricotta - no daiya in sight! The pizzas always come out perfectly cooked. My personal favorite is the tofu cashew mozzarella with seitan pepperoni - I often end up finishing it in one sitting because it's so delicious when hot and fresh (though the leftovers are great too). I have never been let down by the food here, unlike some other places in the neighborhood.

We ordered a vegan pepperoni pizza with marinara sauce, tofu-cashew mozzarella, and seitan pepperoni. The pizza had a slightly charred crust from being cooked in a wood-fired oven. The 12-inch pie was enough to serve as a small lunch for two people.

How can you wrong with sourdough wood fired pizza? This place is on point with little twists to classic flavors. Hot, crispy and just singed enough, this sourdough has a good flop but enough structure to grab with one hand. Great flavors and kind service! I will be back! I absolutely adore this restaurant. It's a hidden treasure. They offer some exciting specials that aren't listed online, so I recommend ordering at the window for a unique experience. Additionally, the cookie is delicious. Overall, I give the food a perfect 5 out of 5 rating.
