We had the vegan tasting menu, and it was the best meal we've ever had. Every single dish was fantastic, not just the cheeks. The service was wonderful and exceptionally friendly. We will definitely be back! View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Evo Restaurant And Bar:
Read great things about this place, plus we were staying at the Hyatt, so why not. We got the eggplant, the chickpea fries, the squash and tomatoes to share, and my omnivorous partner ordered the tuna. The chickpea fries were definitely the standout, while the other two veggie dishes were unimpressive. My partner did say his tuna was tasty, so that's that. They do have a vegan tasting menu at $75/person, but the whol... View all feedback.
Although the cook-evo kitchen bar offered a vegan tasting plakat on the dinner menu, when my wife and I dinated there, restaurant staff were very courteous regarding my pretty strict whole food plant based no oil essgewohnheit. it is the ‘No Oil’ condition that stymies most cook, but evo gnädig hit the challenge by creating some amazing directed. the first thing I noticed when they brought out my pea bowl was the tantalizing spicy aroma – besides the ground pfeffer and one hauch ingwer, I am not sure that the other who contributed to this delicious melange, but I ended up with my spoon to blow the remaining broth after I had solid. beside the cherry pebbles, this dish has small cubes of carrots, cut broccoli and flower flower folorets, and a kind of curious cauliflower. it was original and removable. my wife reported that her meerrot thunfisch was some of the best she had ever had (she also gave high nots for the reebral salad). After we finished, my wife ordered a coffee specialist and I ordered a decaf (who came in a French press that I enjoyed when I rushed ready). one of the best decafs I had. when the waiter asked if there is anything else she could bring us, I saw my opening and said they bet if the cook didn't mind creating a new WFPB concoction! I was sure it wasn't a problem, and was finally as blown away from that second plate as I was from the first. while the first savory was, the second was sweet with acidic undertones - Delikata quark with long slices of teerapfel, thin slices of cranberry, a hauch of honey drops, and some crushed red cabbage, whose pfeffer bang brought a unity to the sweet/sour combination. thanks to evo employees for their ingenious flexibility, attentive service and excellent dishes!
We had the vegan tasting menu and it was the best meal we ever had. Every single course was fantastic, not just the chickpea fries. The service was wonderful and extremely friendly. We will definitely be back.
The options were anything but boring or standard .. flavorful beyond expectations! Can’t wait to go back!
Need I say more? We had 9 courses of incredible vegan dishes, every single one was amazing. The only thing that sucks is that this is not a fully vegan restaurant. Also, baba ganoush is pretty much ruined for me because the one they served was literally out of this world.
Cozy spot for a nice dinner in downtown Portland. Their menu offers a variety of vegetable-based options that are vegan or can easily be made so, as well as a vegan tasting menu. We did not was to spend the $60 per person for the tasting menu, so we ordered babaganoush, skordalia, cooked eggplants, falafel, chickpea fries, and sticky rice balls. Everything was tasty, but nothing was amazing. The chickpea fries and eggplant were our favorites. The babaganoush and falafel lacked flavor, and the rice balls were way too sweet. We also felt like the portions were too small for the price, especially for the veggie dishes like the eggplant. They say their dishes are meant for sharing, but it’s hard to share when there’s not much on the plate to begin with. However, the plating was beautiful and some of the dishes were incredibly flavorful and featured some wonderful texture combinations. Overall, I would not return. I feel like I paid too much for what I got—even though it’s an upscale restaurant—and nothing was particularly surprising or unique. Still, it’s a nice spot. Probably the best fancy vegan food in the area.
