My bf and I were so happy to finally find a really nice restaurant that put extra love and passion in their food in Portimão. The owner waited for us and was very friendly and friendly. Do not be discouraged from the location as it is not on Main Street. You have to go behind a few shops to get there. Inside it is charming with rows of Portuguese wines. We were very happy with our dinner We also had the shrimps in garlic oil and it was delish
We found this place inadvertently as we arrived at Portimao at the end of February and we were not disappointed. You have an extensive list of tapas and everything we tried was very delicious. And above all, Gänse-Barnacle liked, as they were so frash and you could taste the cheese with almonds and honey. Just amazing. You have a great presentation of wine decanters. Really nice things and beautiful atmosphere. In any case recommend visiting.
We had the smoked salmon carpaccio, stuffed mushrooms, and spicy mix cheese. All tapas were delicious and especially the mushrooms. Live local music accompanied our supper. Very rich local wine selection as well. Staff very polite and prompt as well. Highly recommend.
Hidden very slightly off the promenade of Praia da Rocha is the best place we ate at while in Portimão/Praia da Rocha, so good we came back twice! Authentic Portuguese tapas with choices of fresh seafood and meat plates. The balls of codfish are reminiscent of a fish cake from a chippy, the garlic mushrooms are to die for; everything is flavourful and creative with a good use of herbs and spices. No garlic nor olive oil spared! Would definitely recommend for people looking for something where the locals eat and different from the standard fare on the strip. The staff are also very helpful and charismatic, although run off their feet at busy times. Images in order: grilled pepper, scrambled egg with faranheira, garlic bread, garlic mushrooms, veal loin in mustard, cod balls
Amazing restaurant and staff. The owner is personally attentive to all the customers. His and the teams personality comes through in the food, amazing fresh food, full of energy and passion. This is not your normal portimao restaurant this is where people care for the food and care that the customer has a great meal. It may be busy when you come but take the time to wait and get a table and you will have a great meal. Oh and the wine, take their recommendations, it’s all fantastic Portuguese wine.
