This is a really lovely fish restaurant situated right on the beach. the food is great and the staff are lovely too.

This is the perfect place if you are looking for a welcoming, family friendly restaurant. Brothers Felipe and João are always happy to see you whether you are there for dinner, lunch or just to get an ice cream. Food is simply but fantastically cooked. Starters of clams, prawns or goose barnacles (a must for seafood lovers if you have never tried them) are excellent, whilst freshly grilled fish, squid and octopus are excellent main courses. Personal favourite is the pork and clam cataplana, but this needs to be ordered in advance. Good range of local wines and spirits and recommendations to suit your food choices if you are unfamiliar. Desserts are really good and largely traditional. Particularly good are the home made flans and tarts (made by the brothers' mother). Overall, O Rebelo is always lovely to visit, with the added bonus of seeing friendly faces, both regulars and the family who own and run it.
