What User doesn't like about Alvorada:
We saw the set menu option and decided to give it a go. Really should have gone to one of the other recommendations as this was dire. All style and no substance the food was bland and tasted like microwaved food. The staff once your...in pretty much ignore you. It was a very disappointing meal and we really couldn't wait to get out. Would take local advice and try places they go. View all feedback.

We are in this restaurant on the last day of our vacation and have searched for somewhere that fish served in the teig. alvorada has not disappointed that we both ordered the cod with chips. we both agreed that it was the best fish in the diligent we ever had, the diligent was so light and the fish just fell apart and no bone in wide. delicious, would definitely recommend.
Worst Restaurant in Alvor! My girlfriend and I ordered the 2-course meal offer. We ordered the BBQ chicken wings and fish soup for starters. BBQ wings were cheaper fried chicken from the local Aldi or Lidl supermarket with BBQ sauce served on the side. The fish soup tasted like a can of tomato soup with small leftover pieces of fish from the kitchen. The main courses were the worst. I ordered the lamb chops meal and was served EXPIRED lamb chops which smelt and tasted awful. Girlfriend ordered the grilled sea bass and the fish was tasteless, overcooked, boney and dry. The potatoes were not great either. We also ordered the shrimp kebab which tasted ok but had already lost my appetite and our evening ruined. Overall, we were not impressed at all considering the other restaurants on the strip were much better in quality although more pricey. I would highly recommend anyone reading this review to stay away from this restaurant. Ended up with diarrhea the next day thanks to their God awful food. AVOID!!! _________________________________ ANSWER TO REPLY : Yes my girlfriend checked the reviews when we arrived because she did not trust the quality of your restaurant but I told her to give it a chance because some reviews were good but I was wrong. At the end of the meal, my girlfriend was upset and just wanted to leave. She did not want me to complain but I wish I did. Please don’t confuse our politeness for happy customers. We took the food away with us so we could feed the homeless dogs outside the restaurants in Alvor.
Don't be fooled by the trendy upmarket presentation of this restaurant. It is very good value offering high quality traditional Portuguese food. Not to be missed you will enjoy it!
The service, location, and price were nice- 13 € for a 3 course meal. The food took a little longer to come than we were expecting, since there was only one other table, and the first course soup was bland. Overall a decent restaurant.
