For sure the real deal in Wilmington. Special place in my heart to be solar powered, as well. My good friends at Cape Fear Solar installed their solar modules and system, super cool. Solar powered beer tastes better. The ILM is my fav, but Sarah teased me with three additional samples, all good! The food truck was here, I did not partake. This is a great space with indoor/outdoor seating...the bar is pretty cool seat... View all feedback.
What Paula Adams doesn't like about Mad Mole Brewing:
This is my 4 5th visit to Mad Mole.I’ve frequented when Eat at Eastside is the food truck. The beer is good, but this place resembles an elementary school playground on steroids. I appreciate that moms and dads want to get their drink on if these rude kids running around like a beast were mine I’d drink too. A barefoot kid rushed the door when I was entering almost knocking me down. Kids were running both inside and... View all feedback.
Some of the best beers I've had pretty much anywhere, but especially in the Wrightsville area. Always have a great selection and customer service is always helpful and nice.
Great atmosphere. Highly recommend getting the Raspberry Molay.
Love Mad Mole! The fact that it is a solar powered brewery is super unique and awesome! The staff is very friendly and helpful and allows you to have a taste in order to choose the right beer for you!We moved to Wilmington a few months ago and this is probably our most frequented brewery. The beers are good and the location is great with an indoor/outdoor set up. It is a little on the smaller side, so limited seating I would say, but a good amount of picnic table seats ourside. Dog friendly! They often have events, most recently we went to their Oktoberfest celebration and they had a food truck, live band, and a craft market in the parking lot! It was awesome... we actually went to 3 other Oktoberfest celebrations and this was the best one! Wish we had stayed longer!
Favorite brewery in town. Well appointed atmosphere with great brews. To potential patrons, I would just recommend to be aware of busy hours. This is no longer the undiscovered dive it used to be.

I’m sure it doesn’t bother the other parents but over the last year of going there it’s gotten worse.
