Attached to a small local supermarket, it does not look like an attractive option, but appearances can be deceptive. There is a good atmosphere and the locals are a friendly bunch. Cafe de la paix is an institution in Perpignan but I only tried the food for the first time recently.
The service was excellent and the food was brilliant.

Outside,glass of wine in the sunshine is generous and very palatable, just as well as the other side of the supermarket is a gigantic winery with landmark stainless steel tanks. Inside a medium sized restaurant with good wholesome cooking and a sensible wine list - all very satisfying.One does not come here for the view but everything else works very well indeed.
