What DB doesn't like about Postscript:
My partner had the brekkie stack. Was covered in mustard sauce which was very overpowering. I had the mushroom on toast which was almost a bowl of water. The spinach was watery which leaked to the bread and was just a soggy piece of bread. The egg was very runny and when I broke the yolk it leaked into the water. I ate about 5 mushrooms. It was gross. Super friendly service. great menu. food very fresh. thank you for a really relaxing lunch. see you on our next visit.
We went to PostScript with my severley autistic sister (26) who doesn't talk alot and as the waiter placed down her food she said THANKYOU?? talking down to her like a child. Absolutely disgusted wouldn't go back again. How dare she treat my sister like that. It is clearly visible that she has a Disability we were so shocked! Definetly recommend Edinas if visiting Portarlington very welcoming to people with Disabilities!
My partner ordered the brekkie stack, which came drenched in mustard sauce that was way too strong. I opted for the mushroom on toast, but it was essentially a bowl of water. The spinach was quite watery and made the bread soggy. The egg was overly runny, and when I broke the yolk, it leaked into the watery mess. I managed to eat about five mushrooms, but it was really unappetizing. On the positive side, the coffee was excellent, and the staff were friendly, but the food was a letdown and not worth the money.
I ordered four breakfast dishes, and unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. The Brekkie Stack was overloaded with mustard, making it impossible to identify any of the ingredients. The other three dishes included poached eggs, but all of them were overcooked and hard, rather than runny as expected. I sent the dishes back for the poached eggs to be redone, and while two of them came back cooked correctly, mine were hard once again. By that point, I was quite hungry, so I decided to eat them anyway. The bread underneath the mushrooms was soggy, which didn’t help the overall experience. Additionally, if the cook plans to use caraway seeds in any breakfast dish, it should be noted on the menu, as the flavor can be quite overpowering and doesn’t pair well with coffee. Overall, we won’t be returning.
A wonderful little café! We loved the coffee, waffles, and smashed avocado.
