Was Jennifer Brauer at Postscript a mag?
Absolutely phenomenal food, incredibly fast service, and friendly, pleasant staff. The prices are very reasonable, and there's a great variety of dishes to choose from. Everything is super fresh and the place is very clean. Without a doubt, this is the best restaurant I've discovered in two years of dining out. Thank you, PostScript staff! - Jenni View all feedback.
What DB dislikes about Postscript:
My partner ordered the brekkie stack, which came drenched in mustard sauce that was way too strong. I opted for the mushroom on toast, but it was essentially a bowl of water. The spinach was quite watery and made the bread soggy. The egg was overly runny, and when I broke the yolk, it leaked into the watery mess. The spinach was quite watery and made the bread soggy. The egg was overly runny, and when I broke the yolk, it leaked into the watery mess. I managed to eat about five mushrooms, but it was really unappetizing. On the positive side, the coffee was excellent, and the staff were friendly, but the food was a letdown and not worth the money.
I ordered four breakfast dishes, and unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. The Brekkie Stack was overloaded with mustard, making it impossible to identify any of the ingredients. The other three dishes included poached eggs, but all of them were overcooked and hard, rather than runny as expected. I sent the dishes back for the poached eggs to be redone, and while two of them came back cooked correctly, mine were hard once again. By that point, I was quite hungry, so I decided to eat them anyway. The bread underneath the mushrooms was soggy, which didn’t help the overall experience. Additionally, if the cook plans to use caraway seeds in any breakfast dish, it should be noted on the menu, as the flavor can be quite overpowering and doesn’t pair well with coffee. Overall, we won’t be returning.
