I was sad when the Merrillville Firehouse Subs was closed. It's good. Hot delicious sandwiches and good soups. It is along the line of a quiznos when these exist longer. A big step from Subway, but a similar concept. The atmosphere pays homage to firefighters. A bit expensive a medium, soup and a drink has $20. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Firehouse Subs Portage:
Ordered a steak and cheese sub that comes with onion and peppers. Added x-onion, x cheese and x- meat. A-1 sauce also requested. I received very little onion and paprika. No cheese and no A-1. I'll never eat again! View all feedback.
I can't say enough great things about this place. We order the takeover for work quite regularly. Any other business I traded out as if our catering order was a great inconvenience. Firehouse was so incredibly friendly and helpful from the first order. The sandwiches are great and the cookies. If you need a place to deliver sandwiches, they are the best option to!
Great warm sandwich with a good bag of chips and cold soda.
Food is ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE! People are AWESOME!! Therefore they move the 'Lader ' (Pun intended) as one of the top 5 sandwich / sub-restaurants in the country.........to be just #1!
Thanks to Firehouse Subs for lunch for a department meeting. 10 people almost all with special requests as ordered and delivered exactly at the desired time. Thank you.
Very good food, staff was very helpful and the decor is awesome. Great place to eat!!
