This used to be a favorite. Things have changed. Over simplified and too plain. No spice, nothing special. But prices are the same or more. Coffee is still good but we were never offered a second cup with breakfast. Service is spotty. Please peel the damn fruit. Unpeeled pineapple and kiwi are inedible. View all feedback.
What m dd (mdd) doesn't like about Breakfast At Tiffiny's:
An awful place to have breakfast. The fruit was probably sitting outside for at least 12 hours, all dry and disgusting. Ordered eggs over medium, they came out less cooked than over easy, plus smelling terrible. Bread wasn't properly toasted and the avocado spread looked miserable. The server was incredibly incompetent, she didn't bring utensils, we had to go get them ourselves. She was rude and inattentive. We used to really enjoy this restaurant. Primarily the Portage location but we’ve eaten at both. My entire family has worked in the restaurant business at one pointer another, some of even made careers of it. So I understand it is not a huge moneymaker and, at some point or another, prices have to go up. But the prices at this restaurant have gone up significantly over the last few years. They have also started to pass the credit card fees to their customers, which I find that completely unacceptable. Credit card companies are companies and they have to make money. And any good business understands that those fees are part of the cost of doing business. It’s a slap into the face to your customers who are already paying your exorbitant prices to then pay a credit card fee on top of that. Stop accepting credit cards altogether if that’s the issue. There are actually many pros to operating a business without any cash. So it seems those fees may be an excuse to allow you to charge customers even more. The last time I ate there I ordered breakfast pancakes. I am a vegetarian. There were bits of food that had been scraped from the grill and ended up on my plate, including bits of bacon and other garnish. The plate didn’t even look clean. It was a highly disappointing experience. If I eat there again and things change I’m more than happy to amend or update my comments.
Best breakfast place in SW MI. Ultimate biscuits and gravy, Waffle sampler, hippie stew! Can't go wrong.
Service is Great, Foods Amazing, and the owner is very friendly. Recommend
