Very good service on a Saturday night (6pm). Had 2 adults, 2 kids. Great experience! the waitress was attentive, and gladly checked on ingredients for food allergy. Fish fry every night. Northern was delicious beer batter is simple, not greasy, not doughy. Chili was lacking flavor, but that was the only complaint. My family and friends will definitely be coming back to Port Washington. View all feedback.
What Joan doesn't like about Newport Shores:
Restaurant needs a good cleaning. Fish is just okay. They should use the same batter on the fish that they used on the cheese curds. French fries and chicken on children's menu very greasy. Cheese curds were the only item that I liked. I do not know how they received 4 stars. I will not return. Yuk! View all feedback.
If you enjoy fried seafood, this place deserves four stars. The prime rib is also quite good. However, don't bother coming here if you're expecting excellent service or anything that isn't fried.
The restaurant could really use a thorough cleaning. The fish was just mediocre, and I believe they should use the same batter for it as they do for the cheese curds. The French fries and chicken on the children's menu were quite greasy. The cheese curds were the only dish I enjoyed. I'm not sure how they managed to get 4 stars; I won’t be coming back. Disappointing!
We had a fantastic experience on a Saturday night at 6 PM with two adults and two kids. The service was excellent—the waitress was very attentive and happily checked the ingredients to accommodate our food allergies. The fish fry is available every night, and the Northern was outstanding. The beer batter was light, not greasy or doughy, which we really enjoyed. The only downside was that the chili was a bit lacking in flavor. Overall, my family and friends are definitely planning to return to Port Washington!
