Me and my wife we had a late lunch at this place after a day at the beach. Everything was very fresh and delicious. The service was great too. Go for the local fish, yellow perch or pickerel. View all feedback.
What Dave P doesn't like about The Buccaneer:
The owner of the resultant is disrespectful to his staff. The food is unpleasant and the place has a smell that reminds me of a old musty school. Chris, the owner has made demands of his staff that are outside the legal standards of employment. Don't waste your hard earned cash on a place where you're money will get thinned out right into his deep pockets. View all feedback.
My mother and I recently stayed at the Port Stanley Beach hotel which is a part of the Buccaneer restaurant. Each day we had made to order breakfast included as part of our stay. We were able to order anything off the menu for breakfast (with a surcharge if you wanted perch or steak with you meal). Both days we ordered the Hungry man breakfast and it was tasty and well priced (I think $8.99 if you were paying). We also had dinner there on Thursday which was steak night. amazing value. We shared a 10 oz steak (I think $13.99) and added perch (for I think $5 more). So tasty. The steak also came with a salad and baked potato (or your potato of choice). As someone mentioned, this is a really casual place, but the staff is super friendly and accommodating and people come from all around to eat here. I would highly recommend this restaurant while visiting Port Stanley.
Eight of us ladies from London decided to go shopping and out for lunch in Port Stanley. One of the ladies had booked the Buccaneer. When we arrived they said our table was set up on the patio. It was a very hot day and several of our ladies were elderly so we asked if we could have a table inside and were told the person who made the reservation had definitely requested on the patio. After 15 mins they managed o get us a table inside. I sat at the table with plastic table cloths on it an got syrup all over my pants as the table had not been cleaned properly. We all ordered fish and chips and for the most part, the general consensious was that the food was good. There are a few other restaurants that are classier and the food is about the same price so I think this will be our last time here. Part of the enjoyment for us is decor and ambiance and that was absent here.
Lucky us! We just happened to be in Port on Wednesday night, when The Buccaneer have Lake Erie fish night. The patio setting is great, the service is fantastic, the food was prepared to perfection and served quickly, beer was cold as ice, paradise. 1 lb of perch, 1/2 onion rings, 1/2 fries, coleslaw, lemons and tomatoes. served with malt vinegar. $45.00 plus tax and tip.It don't get any better than this.

Beautiful patio, busy restaurant, food taste very fresh, the portions are very nice. I really liked the coslaw salad and home made tartar sauce that came with the yellow perch fish platter. Service was good, fast and professional. We will return for sure!
