Seeing the recent reviews almost made us cancel our reservation, but we're glad we didn't.Unlike some commenters, we like the new restaurant with its terrific view of the ocean and the beach. Our food (lobster for me, haddock for my wife) was fresh and well prepared. We also were pleased to see that the signature blueberry gimlet is available. Finally, our service was attentive and personable.I don't doubt the earlie... View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Quarterdeck Grill:
The restaurant is lovely and bright, overlooking the ocean and the beautiful sweeping beach. It's a perfect setting for a wonderful meal...but the cooking needs to improve to make that possible. Everything we tried fell short, from the flavourless chowder to a flavourless lobster roll and a very average caesar salad. We left disappointed and hoping that it will improve as this is a golden opportunity for a food desti... View all feedback.

It would be a shame to lose this great dining option in an area where there are relatively few choices.
For the past 20 years I have enjoyed a wonderful dining experience at the Quarterdeck restaurant with wonderful menu selections like seafood crumble, Digby scallops, Neptune salad to name a few.Since it has changed ownership and been totally rebuilt the food has become overpriced and bland. I had the vegetable pasta one night and it was so tasteless I lost interest in eating it. They serve three scallops at $15 for an appetizer and the Caesar salad was just lettuce with some funny crackers on the side. They charge $5 for bread and butter. The new owners should change the name as they changed everything else about the restaurant and it doesn't even come close to the Quarterdeck name.
We have been dining at the Quarterdeck Grill every year for over 20 years now,but sadly,it has been going steadily downhill ever since it changed hands--from the bland food to the noisy sterile dining room,to the unimaginative building that houses it.The unsurpassed location and the few familiar faces of the old crew--Joanne,Kyle,Chris--to name but three, are it's only saving graces.
We tried to go for lunch yesterday and they were closed because (they said) they had no staff. This seems like a somewhat bizarre way to run a hotel and restaurant. We went down the road to White Point and had a fabulous lunch.
