Taking the Shore route West we stopped by here for Breakfast. Superb locally grown / products abound here. The place has a lovely old country store feel and look to it but you can even get your mail here as a section serves as a CP outlet. What a delicious breakfast we had. Highly Recommended. What Daniel Laine doesn't like about The Port Grocer:
In this rambly old Nova Scotia building, it was hard to figure out the system at first. You order at the food prep counter, find a table; then food is brought to you. Most drinks are do it yourself. They emphasize local sourcing, which is...nice. Sandwiches were good. View all feedback.

The Port Grocer is the perfect spot if you enjoy fantastic food, top-notch service, and a welcoming atmosphere. I had a delightful lunch today, with my gluten-free wrap being served on gluten-free bread and enjoying the most delicious chocolate brownie I've ever had - also gluten-free! I was pleasantly surprised by their accommodation of special dietary needs, done with a smile. We will definitely be returning soon, as the short drive from the Bridgewater area is well worth it.
Wonderful little place in hidden away Port Medway. Great food, little gift shop with work of local artists, post office music on some weekends!
I absolutely love everything about this place! My new fav spot. Great people, food, live music, gallery, grocer, fresh herb veggie garden, and it sounds like pretty soon bicycles to rent to tour the area! Oh so perfect!
The Port Grocer is a sweet spot hidden on the south shore. But once you find it, you'll go back again and again. <3
