The upper Ludwigstraße in Partenkirchen has turned into a real foodie paradise in recent years. I would even argue that there are as many densely packed dining options here as in the Drosselgasse in Rüdesheim. Now, another establishment has entered the competition. Your's is a Thai takeout place, so small that it's a good thing the street has a speed limit, otherwise you might easily overlook it. When the weather is nice, a few tables are set up outside, but you can also eat at the window inside the takeout, where highchairs are available. Due to Corona, seating is currently limited to two people to maintain distance, but most people choose to take their food to go. Takeout menus and large signs in the window inform customers of the offerings, which include both standard dishes and daily specials. For lunch, I ordered spring rolls (unfortunately, no photo as they didn't survive the car ride home) and shrimp with egg noodles and nuts, opting out of the offered chili as I'm still getting used to the taste. The interior is spotless, with no unnecessary decorations, and the two ladies running the place wear masks, even in the small kitchen behind the counter. They were super polite, serving me with a slight bow and providing helpful recommendations. Prices range from 3.50 for three spring rolls with sweet and sour sauce to 12 Euro for duck red curry. The food was delicious, with the shrimp noodles portion so generous that I couldn't finish it all and saved some for later. That says a lot... I give this place a clear recommendation; it doesn't always have to be schnitzel, roast pork, or pizza! Not even in Partenkirchen; ???????????.
I had a very satisfying lunch with a frittata that was quite tasty. The only downside was that the salad had a bit too much oil. The service was excellent, and the atmosphere was cozy. It was a great dine-in experience for lunch, with prices ranging from A$1 to A$20 per person. The food was rated 4 out of 5, the service 5 out of 5, and the atmosphere 5 out of 5.
I was able to create my own dish, so I got exactly what I wanted. The scrambled eggs and mushrooms were delicious, and the coffee was great as well. Overall, I would give the food, service, and atmosphere a perfect score of 5.
