What User doesn't like about Port Kennedy Tavern:
I had the sweet chilli chicken and rice, it really was very ordinary. The chicken wasn't very tender. I was disappointed. There was a long table gathering in our group, we arrived at 7pm. By the time our orders arrived the restaurant was pretty much empty, the the music started over towards the bar area (in the same room) it was too loud we couldn't talk. Disappointed with the evening so we left.I think you have to g... View all feedback.
Fancy dining area with a lovely patio and good food. Everything is pretty self-serve here like most places. What the front bar lacks in ambience is made up...
This is worst place ive ever been. the staff were so disgustingly rude and clearly judged and discriminated me as soon as I walked in. I couldn't ask anyone...

Called in to the PK for an impromptu meal - felt like fish and chips.Service was good, didn't take too long for the meal. The fish was pretty average - reckon it was defrosted from frozen - might be wrong - if I am then it was a pretty ordinary pice of fish. The batter itself was okay actually as were the chips and salad. What I did notice when ordering was the chef using the rolling pin to prepare a pizza for there gas fired oven. Gave me the thought to try one of the pizzas next time and hopefully give a better review. In closing - the Pk offers a pretty good beer and wine choice for a pub. There was quite a crowd for a Tuesday so perhaps the other choices on the menu were better than what I had.It won't turn me off from going again - I get the impression the pk is always trying different things and is not a complacent establishment.
We find when it's good, it's very good. When it's not, it's less than average. Really inconsistent with both food and service. There are some nice meals to be had here when they get it right, and the menu itself changes so it never gets old.Overall I'd recommend giving it a try.
