The Galley - PORT KEMBLA

Pretty much your old school takeaway still rooted in the '70's !! Has been tarted up a bit but the bottom line is that the Works Burger is the biggest you will find ! The bun couldn't keep up with the contents !! The rest was great as well, Calamari rings, Potato Scallops etc. your typical deep fried treasures !! Thoroughly enjoyed and at a good price too ! P.S It's located in Port Kembla , not the Gong , but strangely TA doesn't recognise PK as a place ???

Today was the first time i had been to the galley in about 4years,and i must say i was really looking forward to some classic battered fish & chips. When i went to order, they said we don't have battered fish anymore,ok well there goes that idea, so we ordered a variety of other classics like,crab stick,battered sav.There was no one in the shop ,and it took 1/2 hour to recieve our lunch,once we got home around 5 minutes later and unwrapped it looked awesome,till i had my first bite and i must say i was very disappointed,fish was very salty, as for everything else, hmmm somethings are better left unsaid.

Every time we visit Wollongong we HAVE to go the The Galley for a family meal! They go out of their way to make us feel welcome & comfortable. But best of all...this place has the BIGGEST breakfast for the BEST price anywhere, anytime!! Absolutely recommend this place for a meal!! Amazing burgers too!!

I've had a couple of meals over the Galley's numerous management changes, and the burger I had recently has been my favourite experience so far.

It was my sole intention on Sunday to have a massive session in the gym and follow it up with a big greasy burger from Back Galley Split in Camden.
