The service was excellent, and the live music was fantastic; I really enjoyed it! However, the food was quite disappointing—sorry, but there's room for improvement. I ended up taking apart my sandwich and only eating the bread, which was actually pretty good.

The food was expertly prepared and reasonably priced. The service was friendly and attentive. The music was enjoyable, but I found it a bit too loud for my taste.

Given the high prices, we were disappointed, especially since we could find better quality food at other restaurants in Port Jeff, just up the road. It’s unclear if they were understaffed in the kitchen, but it felt frustrating to pay a premium for a meal where we couldn’t all eat together. As locals, we usually prefer other restaurants in Port Jeff over this one.

The inner looked more like a diner than a bistro. the heat must be broken, it was cold in the restaurant. we asked the waitress if they could turn the heat up and she said they just did it. it never came up and we ate with our moms together with the rest of the people in there. the food was good, they had a 2 piece band playing that was beautiful. the prices were reasonable, but I don't think I'll be back soon.

Eating is always good in port bistro this time was not taking off. we all order burger everyone was cooked on our specific requests. best burger I've had for a long time. can't wait to go back!

Port Bistro offers a mixed dining experience characterized by highs and lows. While many patrons rave about the exceptional food, from delicious burgers to award-winning wings, service inconsistencies often dampen the mood. Complaints about long waits and inattentive staff overshadow moments of attentive care. The ambiance, enhanced by live music, had some enjoyable aspects but could be too loud at times. Despite these issues, some diners experienced exemplary service that turned their visits around. Overall, Port Bistro needs to improve its management and service standards to match the quality of its cuisine, ensuring a seamless experience for all guests.

Went Saturday night for a quick dinner before a show at theater 3, had a 6:15 reservation ,had to wait over an hour to get our food witch was only burgers. The food was good but service was so slow we almost didn't get to the show on time. Thought it was just a one time thing so we came back for lunch the following day with family that had just gotten off the ferry. The same thing happened again waiting over an hour for lunch, maybe another cook in the kitchen might solve this problem. While I'm venting think about a little redecorating the torn material on the booths are a disaster.

We were a party of 5 ordered drinks which were all pretty good. Appetizers were good too. When dinner cane i ordered chicken franchaise and pasta. I The spaghetti was warm and extremely dry (like there was no sauce or anything on the pasta same with the broccoli. The broccoli was barely cooked too. The chicken was okay but didn't have any taste nor any lemon sauce. I asked for some butter or something to put on spaghetti and they brought Two little packets of butter. I told them everything was dry and had ZERO taste. I barely touched my food. It is a shame they charged me for my meal. Are they that desperate for money??? Someone else at my table ordered the same only no pasta w veggies and she felt the same (veggies under cooked and chicken has no taste) They then brought over a very small serving of the franchaise sauce which wasn't even hot! Its a no go for me!!! Perhaps if they would have taken my meal off the bill like most other restaurants would have done. I waited to speak with the waitress after she dropped the check but she never returned to our table. We just paid it and left and Will not be back!!

Stopped in for Happy Hour. It was a bit quiet, but I really enjoyed the excellent craft beer selection and Happy Hour food selections. Their maple bacon wings won a best wings award so I had to put them to the test and they passed with flying colors. Great wings and great beer on Happy Hour specials!!!!

The one star was for the exceptional food. The food was great overall. But the service on other hand was a different story. I?m a server myself and there are times where I have to run the restaurant myself so I understand, but there was only one other table and another leaving and she treated us as her last care in the world. When she brought our appetizer over we put in another appetizer and by the time the second one was done she had just brought over silverware and plates and still hadn?t taken our dinner order. We were sitting there with our first appetizer for around 10 minutes no plates no silverware. We had finished eating and I got up to get a menu myself passing our server because when I had asked her for silverware before, I noticed she rolled her eyes and I didn?t appreciate that. I?m not sure if she was profiling us because of our age which I think is pretty disgusting we are 19 and very respectful. We go to many fine dining restaurants and are constantly coming down port and we?ve never experienced this condescending service. We had finally ordered our food way after finishing our appetizer and it came almost 30 minutes later. Our check came to over $75 and I feel like for the price you expect decent service. She didn?t care nor was she apologetic for the way she acted. Again the food was great we plan on coming back we just hope for different service. Our servers name was Sandra.

We had an excellent experience. The food and drinks were delightful, and the staff was both friendly and attentive. We will definitely return. A special shout-out to Dan!

There was an event happening in town, so it was quite crowded, which was understandable. Despite having a reservation, we had to wait a while for a table and our food. However, the staff was very friendly and did their best to manage the large number of guests. I was pleasantly surprised by the variety on the menu, which went beyond the typical pub fare. Additionally, there was live music, which added to the atmosphere.

The interior resembled more of a diner than a bistro, and it was quite chilly inside the restaurant—almost as if the heating was broken. When we asked the waitress if they could raise the temperature, she informed us that they had just done so, but nothing changed. We ended up dining with our coats on, just like everyone else in the place. The food was good, and there was a pleasant two-piece band playing, which added to the atmosphere. The prices were reasonable, but I don’t think I’ll be returning anytime soon.

The food at Port Bistro is consistently excellent, and this visit was no different. We all ordered burgers, and each one was prepared exactly as we requested. It was the best burger I've had in a long time. I can't wait to return!

The service was great. The band/music was awesome, thoroughly enjoyed it! The food was awful—sorry, ya gotta step it up a bit. I literally disassembled my sandwich and ate only the bread—which was pretty good

Music way too loud. Under staffed. Food was bland and came out cold!

Went there for dinner with my kids and my Mother-in-law. The place looked clean, bright and airy, there was live music on Friday, was nice. Just like most reviews below, we had to wait for everything: drink, extra napkins, ketchup, wasn’t bothered by it as much since you could tell the place was very short staffed, there was no hostess and the waiter taking our order kept looking at the front door as he was taking the order. My chicken broccoli rub sandwich was good, the other sandwich was okay as well. My son ordered a blue cheese burger that he normally likes, couldn’t finish it because the blue cheese was overpowering and the patty wasn’t seasoned and was bland. The biggest issue was with my daughter’s spaghetti and meatballs, she is little, so when she first said she didn’t like it, I brushed it off, when she said it again, i tasted it and it tasted like pasta with a watered down tomato sauce from a can, it was truly not good at all. The bus boy came over, we told him the issue, he disappeared, came back 5 min later, said the sauce was fine, but he needs to get the waiter. The waiter came back another 5~7 min later with an attitude, said everyone in the back tasted their Marinara and it was good, asked what he can bring instead. I asked for plain pasta with butter. Took 20 min to bring it the table, he slammed the plate on the plate in front of my daughter, walked away with saying a word or even looking at us. We asked for a check and I was shocked to see he charged for the substitute kids pasta, $20 for 2 plates of kids spaghetti! Brought to his attention, he took it off the bill. It felt like it was added to the bill hoping we wouldn’t notice. I can handle extra wait when short staffed, but not the attitude from the wait staff especially towards my daughter . The $3 tip reflected the service. To my huge huge surprise, the waiter followed me and my kids outside to my car to question the $3 tip!!!! never in my life has a waiter followed me outside the restaurant!!!!! i explained that my daughter‘s food was was not good and it took them 30 min to bring her another plate!!! Anyone who has little kids can understand how that felt. He continued fighting me and trying to prove his point that the sauce was good and we had to wait for the extra plate of food so long because “they don’t have pasta just laying around”.I am not sure if the waiter was the owner of the place, or he was just extremely on the edge for being short staffed, but that was not a way to treat a young woman who came for dinner with her 2 children and Mother-in-law.I think the restaurant has a potential but needs more staff and proper training.

Came here for lunch and it was fantastic. Loved everything about this place. Music was at a perfect volume…and music I liked. Food was what I came for and my wife and I wasn’t disappointed. I recommend this place to anyone and everyone…also a shout out to Justin our server. Great job bro!

Our server was manning the whole front of the pub by himself, and he did the best he could manage. He was super friendly and did whatever he could. The loaded fries were a mess and were visually unappealing, along with the pork being in a hardened chunk on the top. Also, everything is sold separately, so the price goes up and ends up racking up quickly. The bathrooms were very dirty and had no toilet paper in the women's bathroom. I had to go into another bathroom to grab a roll so my children could use the bathroom. There was a think gray ring of dirt inside the toilet, which means it hasn't been cleaned well in a long time.

Great food and cocktails. There was only one young woman working both the floor and the bar so nobody greeted us when we came in. Still, we found our own table and the woman did a good job regardless. I would go back.

Looks like a lively , fun spot to grab a quick bite but don’t let this place trick you , any other bar down port is a better call. Food is subpar and there is virtually no staff. You will be waiting
